JACKS RIDGE VIEW DAVAO CITY GULF

Jacks Ridge View Davao City Gulf:  Last night, we had dinner at one of the literal top locations in Davao City, Jacks Ridge. Located on a high Mountain Slope and once the base for the Japanese Imperial Army in World War II, used as a lookout post against American forces due to its fantastic vista overlooking Davao City and the gulf.  There are many remnants left on the site from its War historic past, including Japanese dug tunnels believed to still have buried treasure in them (a must visit at some point for the family!), warplane crash sites and prehistoric giant clam shells are on display to testify to the fact that this high hillside location once used to be submerged underwater a long time ago!

Jacks Ridge has become one of the premier tourist attractions where you can  enjoy the view while tasting the wide variety of dishes served at its restaurants.  They have a play area and a swimming pool with a slide which we will definitely try on our next visit with the family!

This image was captured using my Fuji X E2 with the kit 18-55mm lens which keeps impressing me the more I use this little beast! The images are sharp with very little distortion even at its widest settings. I shot this particular image using the in-built Panoramic setting on the Camera and then enhanced the edit on Aperture in post process.  Shot at 18mm, F5.6 at iso800.
