Sunset from the Jetty:

This is the view from a private jetty looking out onto Pujada Bay in Davao Oriental. A truly romantic and peaceful location. Perfect for singles, couples, families or groups. The lighting at sunset amplifies the natural beauty of the mountain range reflected onto the tropical waters. The light dances and shimmers over the waters surface and you will find yourself getting lost in time.  You will find a diverse range of tropical fish swimming directly under your feet and even at night time, you can dive in and feel welcomed by the warm waters.

Away from the busy schedule of everyday life, you can truly find rest and relaxation at these beautiful locations.

Fresh seafood is served with a side of fruit and coconut juice at any time of day or night at your request. You can also book a tour of the many surrounding islands on a private boat giving you the opportunity to snorkel, scuba dive or just observe the sites.

Photography/Videography: Sunset from the Jetty:

All video captures were taken using the Nikon D5100 set at its highest quality setting attached to the Nikon 28-300mm lens and at times the Nikon 18-105mm.  The trick with capturing a steady video is firstly a good tripod and because of the auto ISO setting on the D5100, it will constantly try and re-adjust according to the lighting, which can give an unpleasant effect with slight contrast changes to your video as the light changes.  In order to stop this effect, you need to find the setting which you are happiest with and then set the ae/lock on the camera. That way it will capture the video without changing the iso setting automatically.  I find that on the D5100, its best to set the auto ISO to a max of iso1600 as anything above that, the video gets more noisy (visually).

The shawl of fish you see in the video were swimming directly under our feet from the jetty, which allowed us to capture the video using the artificial lighting on the jetty and using the Nikon 35mm lens set at f1.8 in order to capture as much light as possible while recording the video at iso1600.

For the two still images, I used the trusty Nikon D700 armed with the Nikon 18-35mm lens, shot on a steady tripod in order to maximise on the lowest iso setting of iso200.  This way, the timer can be set and the image can be shot at a slower shutter speed reducing the risk of blur. The only thing to be away of is any wind while during the shot, as that can obviously affect the steadiness of your tripod.
